Best wear your green today!!

Delve into Irish/American history in Downtown Kansas City, home to the 2nd largest Irish community and parade in America!

First up, We'll swing by "Old St. Patrick's Church" at 8th and Cherry. Here is where the early days of Irish immigrants (its first members), created the very 'heart' of the Irish community.

Now that you have worked up an appetite, Enjoy A tasty Irish lunch buffet prepared by Irish Chef, Shaun Brady. He will be waiting for you at the KC Irish Heritage Center. Here you will also enjoy a "Guinness Pouring" activity & tasting.

Driscoll Irish Dancers entertain you after lunch, then on to Brown's Irish Marketplace, we go!
This marketplace is the oldest Irish establishment in North America and has been owned by the same family since 1901. Brown's will have Irish everything available for purchase; Irish beer, Irish Whiskey, & Irish Tea.
 

Finally, Enjoy Shamrock-themed cookies on the ride home to Excelsior Springs.

  • 2nd Course: Steak & Guinness Pie;   Shaun's Bangers & Mash with Onion Gravy

Please arrive at the Excelsior Springs Chamber of Commerce building, located at
426 S. Thompson Ave at 10:15am for check in.

The Shuttle will depart for Liberty, MO, and also pick up at Target, located at
9220 NE Barry Rd, Kansas City, MO 64157. Pick-up from this location will be at 
11am. Across from Bank Liberty in the far back parking lot.

10:15am Check in at 426 S.Thompson Ave. (Chamber of Commerce building)
10:25am- Depart for Liberty, second pick-up location. Arrive for 11am departure.
11am-Pick up from Target Liberty Parking Lot

4:30pm    Arrive back in Liberty, MO
5pm          Arrive Back in Excelsior Springs, the tour concludes

Fees/Admission:
The fee for this trip is all-inclusive at $90 per person. This includes tax, meal, meal gratuity, transportation on STAR Shuttle, Tour Guide Diane Montague, bottled water & shamrock-shaped cookies to enjoy on your ride home.
This DOES NOT include a tip for the tour driver. Tips are appreciated.

NO REFUNDS will be given unless the Chamber has to cancel the trip due to a lack of participants. This trip must meet a minimum of 20 guests to run. If we do not meet the minimum guest count, a full refund will be issued. If YOU need to cancel the trip, you will be given a credit to use at a later date in the year.
